One of our two expert nurses will start with a consultation to understand your goals and concerns. This includes a detailed assessment of your facial anatomy. The areas will be treated according to your treatment goals. Ultra-fine needles are used to cause minimal discomfort and recommended dosages are injected into the areas required. Immediately after treatment you can have some mild redness or swelling which will resolve in less than an hour. Some bruising may occur at the site of injection.
Maximum results are seen within 2 weeks.
Some factors that affect the longevity of botox include physical activity, size of the muscle and amount of muscle use. Athletes tend to have a higher metabolism, which breaks down the toxin faster. Toxins also wear off faster in the muscles that are used most frequently. Lastly, the bigger the muscle, the quicker you will see effects diminish.
It is common for these injections to last 3-4 months, but with regular maintenance the treatments can last longer.
