It’s no secret that spending all summer laying in the sun can cause a lasting impact to the quality of your skin. Even if you lather on sunscreen all day every day, you might still experience aging, skin damage and hyperpigmentation, to name a few.
We’ve created a helpful guide of ways you can resurrect your skin going into the cooler months!
By the time autumn rolls around, it’s not uncommon to notice brown spots popping up on different areas of your face and body. Hyperpigmentation is essentially that; Caused by an
increase of melanin, women of darker skin tones usually experience this the worst. To get these
sunspots under control, we recommend Vitamin C. It is a great antioxidant and works well to
defend against UV damage and minimize dark spots.
Chemical peels are also a great way to reduce hyperpigmentation. This is because the stronger concentrated acids being used in the peel remove the top layers of the skin, allowing it to
regenerate in its fullest form. By replacing dull cells with new fresh ones, your skin will look
(and feel) a lot better! Please remember, not all chemical peels cause visible peeling to the naked
eye!
By now, you’re likely familiar with the microdermabrasion procedure, whether you’ve tried it or heard about your fave celebs doing it. There’s a good reason for that! This painless procedure
gently scrubs away dead skin, and is used to treat discoloration and sun marks. Similar to a
chemical peel, the treatment works to remove the top layer of skin, making it a great choice to
reduce minor skin damage. Typically, this tends to be the less effective and more gentle option.
While the sun certainly is beautiful, skincare isn’t its biggest fan. Beginning IPL treatments in the fall is a great way to reverse some signs of ultraviolet damage and aging! IPL is a laser
treatment that can be performed on both the face and the body. The best candidates for the
procedure? Individuals who suffer from a lot of skin damage or looking to even out their complexion! This is because the pulses of light penetrate the tissue to remove unwanted pigments and injured tissue. IPL treatments also have added benefits, like hair removal, reducing rosacea and fixing broken capillaries. This treatment as a whole gives the skin a more youthful appearance, reversing all that sun damage as best as possible.
If you’ve always been curious about one of these treatments but have yet to give it a shot, now is your time! Fall is the best season to get on top of your skincare and book those long-awaited
procedures you’ve been on the fence about. Questions or concerns? Feel free to DM us or send
